Hi sweets!
NOTE:This entry has no direct relation to Marc by Marc Jacobs, all photos are mock up of personal designs inspired by Marc by Marc Jacobs
So, I definitely think, I've taken way too long getting this blog up and running. I'm still having some troubles figuring this layout/background thingo. I'll definitely still be blogging while I try to work this out.

Anyways, I'm sure you're probably wondering why this blog post is titled [Lingerie//Marc by Marc Jacobs inspiration] Well, I thought it'll be cool if I started my blog with a little walk down memory lane. I'm currently a second year fashion student, and in the first semester of second year, I decided to focus on lingerie because I really wanted to work with stretchy fabrics. It was really hard as I predicted but I really appreciate the things I've learned from this studio. Anyways, we all have something we call the [panel assessment] where you basically present your theme/idea with moodboards, lookbooks, garments, etc to a panel of teachers/judges and they give you constructive criticisms upon viewing your work. If you know me personally, one of the first things you'll learn is that I'm absolutely crazy about Marc by Marc Jacobs and hopefully someday, i'll get an internship with them. This semester, I decided I would make Marc by Marc Jacobs my client, through research I’ve learned that they don’t have an establish lingerie collection. Although Marc Jacobs is going to commerce a Marc Jacobs Lingerie Collection how exciting! will definitely make a blog post to update you guys about this.
So, I think pitching an idea of a lingerie line to Marc by Marc Jacobs is not a far-fetched idea. I was inspired by a book I read a few years ago, titled, If nobody speaks of remarkable things by Jon McGregor. He describes the fleeting moments of our lives with “a falter between heartbeats,” “a darkness between blinks,” etc. A moment that escapes us because it's too fast. A sunset last from around 10 minutes but every second the hues, tones of the sunset changes, there is only one moment when the exact colors can be captured through the naked eye. Since Marc Jacobs was born in New York, I thought it would be a cool little tribute that the chrysler building is featured in my theme. So enough babbling here is my version of the ad campaigns for the proposed designs for Marc by Marc Jacobs. All photographs were taken by my amazing best friend, Kara Liu. + being the stylist!
